We are pleased to announce OPERA 2026, an international conference bringing together researchers in mathematics, computational science, and related fields to explore the interconnected themes of orthogonal polynomials, exponential analysis, and rational approximation, along with related topics such as integration, multiresolution analysis, subdivision and refinability, structured matrices, as well as sparse interpolation in computer algebra.
OPERA 2026 will also highlight how advances in these areas are driving progress in image and signal processing, as well as in a wide range of diverse scientific and engineering applications, including, but not limited to, antenna design, vibration analysis, magnetic resonance relaxometry, financial time series analysis, and biomedical signal processing. We will also use this occasion to celebrate the 70th birthday of Professor Annie Cuyt.
